So I made this dress about a month ago and have been trying finish the tutorial for it ever since! I used the strapless bodice and pencil skirt from Gertie's Ultimate Dress Book and adapted them so that they button in the front, rather than zip in the back. While I'm finishing up the tutorial, why don't we have a fabric giveaway? I have three yards of this lovely pink tropical sateen left from my personal stash. It was from my spring fabric line, and is now sold out from Jo-Ann stores.
To enter, just leave a comment here! All countries eligible. Entries due by the end of the day this Sunday. Good luck!
I am usually shy with prints so this would be a good start :)

Oh man! I want to have this fabric's babies.
ReplyDeleteLove that dress, and just ordered your ultimate dress book - I have your other two and can't get enough of them. I'm pregnant at the moment so not making too many patterns, but I did just buy your Butterick B6285 and just finished the wrap top (I can wear it now and after, nursing will be easy in it!) I hope you do another sew along this December as I'd love to join. I really appreciate all your tutorials - make sewing the garments a lot more straight forward. I'm now making the wrap top in merino wool jersey as gifts for x-mas, and going to make it in a lush green stretch velvet to wear during the holidays after baby! Can't wait til you release another book!! Thanks!
