Hello, readers! Just popping in to say hi. I had a fabulous book signing at the New York Sheep and Wool Festival over the weekend. Jeff came along as "Mr. Gertie" (I swear, I'm going to have that printed on a t-shirt for him), and snapped this picture of me. My favorite part of the picture is the Diet Coke at my side--so typical.
Anyway, I'm working away on the many garments for book 2, Gertie Sews Vintage Casual. The photo shoot is next week, people! The good news is that everything is coming together beautifully. I am totally in the zone, as they say. I can't wait to show you the designs!
Can't wait to see them!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update! I love your little info posts - just checking in with us faithful readers. You're looking fabulous. Remind me - that's a Gertie original dress, right? Love the red and pink together (one of my favorite color combos). Best of luck with the shooting.
ReplyDeleteAw Gertie... you look radiant. Can't wait for book 2! x
ReplyDelete'Mr gertie ' this has made me chuckle, you should so do the t-shirt thing! Can't wait to see what you've made for book 2. Hope the photo shoot goes well for you.
ReplyDeleteI really, really want to make a trip to Rhinebeck next year. You look gorgeous! I hope your book signing was a huge success.
ReplyDeleteWell done Gertie! I've followed your blog for about 3 years, and seen your progress. But you still give us sewers the practical advice we need.
ReplyDeletebtw I have a frock like the one you're wearing in the photo - I bought it from a second hand stall in our local market, (Mirande, France) really retro, and in perfect condition. I wear it a lot.
Good news! Can't wait to see the new garments.
ReplyDeleteMany greetings from Germany.
