Hello friends! There's a problem with Blogger right now and no images can be uploaded. Hence, part two of the shirring tutorial is delayed until further notice. But I will tell you things with my words instead!
Now seems like a good time to let you know that my TV debut is happening next week on PBS; Threads did a great post on it here. It's Sew Easy is set to premiere on June 30th. My session is the first one of the first show!
If you don't see the show on your local PBS listings, you can contact them and ask them to include it in their programming. It would be much appreciated!
I'll be back (hopefully with pretty pictures) tomorrow.
O!! I can watch this since it's PBS!! (no cable for the last 6 years) but I am going to tune in! Congrats~
ReplyDeleteHOOOORAAAYYY! I can't wait
ReplyDeleteMy local PBS station doesn't have your show in its lineup. Poop. I'm going to have to request it. Do you know if we'll be able to watch it on line on the PBS site?
ReplyDeleteWee, how exciting!! You lucky Americans - I wish they showed it here in the UK!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely :)!
ReplyDeleteDo you know if it will be available to view later-on online please? (I'm in the UK so I don't get PBS).
Another foreigner here (in Norway) - any chance of seeing this on youtube later?
ReplyDeleteso exciting! Sadly, Seattle isn't showing it either (boo) but I did request it! I hope to it will be somewhere online for our viewing pleasure!
ReplyDeleteI emailed my PBS station and asked them if they're going to show the show. I hope they get it!!
ReplyDeleteAnother European.... is there a chance to whatch it online later?? That would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteBummer, we don't get PBS here in Italy either =( But I'm dying to see part two of your shirring tutorial!!
ReplyDeleteThis is really exciting and I am hoping the best for you. This is great for all us to watch your career unfolding and beginning to bloom.
ReplyDeleteI just wrote both my local stations asking to carry it! Congrats for you though even if I don't get to watch!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Will it be online anywhere? I will request for Portland, Oregon.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you, Gertie! It's wonderful to be able to follow your sewing career taking off!
ReplyDeleteI have to check my PBS station - I hope they are going to air it here.(NE Pennsylvania).
I'll be looking forward to the continuation of your shirring tutorial!
Oh, I'd love to watch it! Sadly, we don't have PBS in Aus. Do you know if you will be able to watch it online?
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the big debut x
G: I can't get it in Canada :-(
ReplyDeleteTry editing a post in HTML. That worked for me. I was having problems uploading pictures, but for some reason it worked just fine by doing it in the Edit HTML window. Hope that works!

I have DirecTV and don't get a PBS station. I wonder if I could view the show later on their website.
ReplyDeleteThe PBS has a tier-system of program levels. (I live in Oregon and my ex works for them in Portland, OR. I know what I'm talking about.) Wealthy areas (Boston, San Francisco, etc.) get the top-tier programs. Out-of-the-way, poor areas - like Oregon - get what they get. It isn't the first rate programming. We get junk like reruns of The Lawrence Welk Show.
ReplyDeletePBS is a joke. They don't spread their brilliance to the poor areas, because we can't pay for it. Some PUBLIC Broadca$ting system! What I'm saying is, don't bother asking for shows like this if you live in a "down market" area. You won't get them.
Gertie - congratulaions! I am so happy for you. TV, wow!
ReplyDeleteMy Connecticut PBS station does not carry the show. I called my local station and asked them to begin carrying it.
Wha?????? Not in Portland, Oregon!!! Letter writing campaign begins tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI watched it today on Sew News - you were great! Great hemming tip too!!
